IT support for Guernsey 2023
Agilisys is donating 35 of its laptops to be used at the Guernsey 2023 NatWest International Island Games.
The initial 15 laptops were essential for the two registration sessions at Beau Sejour where 845 people attended, bringing the overall number of approved volunteers to 944. Three further registration events will take place before the end of the year.
Shona Leavey, Head of IT Services at Agilisys said ‘We are very pleased to be able to support the NatWest International Island Games and complement the sponsorship already provided by the States of Guernsey by providing these laptops. Following the Games, we will be finding good use for these machines as part of the legacy of the Games’.
Colin Le Conte, IT Director for Guernsey 2023, said ‘We are pleased to be working with Agilisys and thank them for their support on this project. These laptops will be used in the run up to the Games, and also during the event where they will be invaluable in helping us upload results to our central system quickly and efficiently. As part of our sustainability plan, we will be looking to reuse and repurpose technology as much as we can’.
