NatWest International
RBS International trades as NatWest International when serving our local personal customer base – a market to which we are systemic and have been a long legacy of being a part of. Beyond our personal banking offering, via our RBS International brand, we bank a significant portion of the local business and not for profit markets, whilst also supporting a material part of Guernsey’s vital financial services industry.
What made you want to be a lead sponsor for the Guernsey 2023 Games?
The NatWest International Island Games represent a celebration of local communities and the talent they foster. Our Purpose is to champion potential, helping people, families and businesses to thrive – the Games has had a positive impact on so many elements of our local communities, so sponsorship of the 2023 Games aligns with our Purpose. All employees at the bank are extremely proud of our sponsorship of the Games and our relationship with the International Island Games Association. Great strategic partnerships are based on shared long-term goals and our sponsorship of the Games has provided a platform to facilitate friendly, yet competitive, events for over two decades and has provided many talented athletes with opportunities for global participation.
What are you looking forward to most about the Games in July?
We’re looking forward to attending the Games – not only as spectators at a wonderful event that realises the ambitions of the participants and teams, but as a proud ambassador of our business. We have colleagues competing and volunteering their time at the Games. The commitment of the whole volunteer cohort, to making this a great and memorable occasion, is inspiring.
Are there any activities you are planning in the run up to the Games?
We are running a series of internal staff volunteer sessions where colleagues will help pull together over 5000 merchandise packs for competitors and Island Games volunteers. Staff will also help create a professional environment for the Games, by putting up NatWest International signage at various event sites on island.
We are also shining a spotlight on NatWest International staff who have participated in previous games, as well as in 2023, to tell us about their success and how the sponsorship has supported them in their quest to receiving a medal! This will be through a series of posts on our internal intranet which is available to staff throughout the competing islands, and the UK. With a staff body of over 60,000 across the globe, the Games are a great opportunity to celebrate NatWest International and the work we do within our communities.

About Praxis
We are an independent, leading provider of bespoke private wealth and corporate administration services to companies, individuals, and families across the world.
Established in 1983, we employ around 120 staff in Guernsey and over 400 globally.
We inspire our people to be their best, developing an environment that nurtures personal growth and empowers them to deliver market-leading client services.
We are committed to giving our people the opportunity to learn and develop so they reach their full potential and in turn achieve their own personal goals. We don’t just look at the here and now but also look ahead to identify and develop our future leaders.
We’re proud to support our island community through our long involvement in sport, cultural events, and charities. We support amateur men’s, ladies, and youth sport on the island through our long-term sponsorship of rugby, netball and basketball.
What made you want to be a lead sponsor for the Guernsey 2023 Games?
Praxis and the Games have much in common. With more than half of our 400 global employees working in Island Games member islands, we too are very much part of our community.
Over the past 50 years we’ve supported a diverse range of member sports across the Channel Islands, with basketball, cycling and football all benefitting from our sponsorship. Outside of the Games, Praxis’ sponsorship of cricket, netball and rugby has seen hundreds of islanders enjoy grassroots sport.
Sport exemplifies many admirable values including team building, equality, inclusion, perseverance, and respect, all of which we aspire to at Praxis. With the 2023 Games’ motto of ‘Inspiring Islanders’ mirroring one of our own values our shared ethos means we are delighted to support it.
What are you looking forward to most about the Games in July?
There’s so much to look forward to it’s difficult to pick out one thing in particular. The atmosphere during Games week will be incredible, with the whole island coming together as a community to support our competitors making it one of those unforgettable experiences.
We're very much looking forward to seeing our colleagues take part – from our IT team Jason Le Page will be hoping to add to his silver archery medal in Gotland as he takes part in his fourth Games. We also have several of the Praxis team volunteering across football, sailing and with logistics.
Finally, the prospect of watching Alastair Chalmers compete on home soil in the 400m hurdles is one which I along with hundreds of his supporters can’t wait for. Praxis has supported Ala since 2018 and we’re so proud of the progress he’s made in his athletics career so far – we wish him and all the other Guernsey competitors all the best for these Games.

pwc
100 years of building trust in the Channel Islands.
In the Channel Islands, we attract many hard-working, disciplined and talented school-leavers and graduates annually to join PwC’s trainee programme across our Assurance, Advisory and Tax Services. During the recruitment process, we find that candidates are particularly interested in hearing about how we work in the community. Our level of commitment in this area has definitely helped us maintain high people engagement and retention over the years. In Guernsey, we support many worthwhile initiatives such as the Guernsey Community Foundation, the Association of Guernsey Charities, Fruit for Schools and Family Picnic Days, the Guernsey Hockey Academy, CI Pride, Alternative Transport Week, the Set Sail Trust, Guernsey Trees for Life and the '20 in 2' challenge in collaboration with Guernsey Chest and Heart.
What made you want to be a lead sponsor for the Guernsey 2023 Games?
This year, PwC is celebrating its centenary. That's 100 years of building trust in the Channel Islands. What better way to mark this milestone than by investing in the community around us, by getting involved in a unique program of sport, cultural exchange and social interaction. We want to help build, engage and unite the community and, in doing so, inspire and encourage those around us as we all come together to celebrate a high level of international competition. Importantly, we're also most proud to be associated with showcasing Guernsey as host Island at its best.
What are you looking forward to most about the Games in July?
Here at PwC, we genuinely want to get involved. So, in sponsoring the Guernsey 2023 Games, we were never going to sit at the side-lines. Our people are all genuinely looking forward to getting stuck in by volunteering, spectating and even competing in what's bound to be a week to remember.
Are there any activities you are planning in the run up to the Games?
We're fortunate enough to have a volunteering policy where all our people are given 37.5 hours of PwC time annually to volunteer. Part of this time will be used up on 19 May, during our PwC 'One Firm One Day' volunteering afternoon. That's when we hope to help get Corbet field ready for the Games. It's looking a little tired and needs some attention with a lick of paint, some sanding and gardening. Before long it will be in top shape and ready to be the main venue for the women's football.
Are any of your staff competing?
Yes, we have five PwC Channel Islands' staff competing across five disciplines. Orla Rabey (swimming), Bella Ogier (football), Morgan Taylor (archery), Lauren Watson-Steele (tennis) and Matt Neal (shooting). We also have a couple of proud parents at PwC whose children are representing Guernsey in swimming and Jersey in table tennis. And not forgetting our games-maker volunteers during the week itself!
Pula
Pula Aviation Services is focused on delivering services in support of aircraft ownership, management, operation and medical services to customers within Business, General and Executive Aviation through the diverse capabilities of its businesses - ASG Limited, Centreline AV Limited, Capital Air Ambulance and Airpart Supply Limited.
What made you want to be a lead sponsor for the Guernsey 2023 Games?
Supporting the Guernsey 2023 Games aligns with our focus on supporting our local communities, and in particular the development of local sporting talent. We have seen many Games athletes progress through to elite international level, and by supporting the Games on home territory we hope that many aspiring Guernsey athletes will be motivated to strive to achieve exceptional standards in their chosen sports. In addition, the Pula Group’s charitable sporting activities are driven by the mission statement ‘Active. Healthy. Happy.’ as we firmly believe that the power of sport extends beyond athletes, being fully inclusive and helping create enhanced communities, so we hope the Games will inspire more people to become active.
What are you looking forward to most about the Games in July?
Seeing, and celebrating, across a diverse range of sports the incredible talent of both our local athletes and those of the other competing islands - participants who have worked incredibly hard, and made many sacrifices, to represent their home islands with pride. We are also looking forward to the Games raising the profile of Guernsey and all that it has to offer. Guernsey has a long history of welcoming visitors and providing activities and places of interest, so the Games highlighting many of those aspects will bring long term benefits to the island. The Spirit of the Games will be well honoured as Guernsey extends its warm hospitality to the visiting islands’ teams.
Randalls
HERE TO SERVE YOU SINCE 1868.
Our roots run deep. We’ve been in business for 150 years and still love what we do. As brewers, distillers and suppliers, we have the broadest understanding possible and also own and manage pubs, restaurants, hotels and shops throughout the island.

Of the 100 staff in our Guernsey office, we have two competitors and more than 20 staff volunteering as attaches, marshals, photographers and announcers.
What made you want to be a lead sponsor for the Guernsey 2023 Games?
It is going to be a fantastic week, the biggest event to happen in Guernsey for many years, with more than 2,000 competitors competing at an incredibly high level and supported by thousands of spectators – all of that made it an easy decision for Ravenscroft to be a lead sponsor for the Guernsey 2023 Island Games. We are passionate about sport and the opportunities and benefits it provides which is why across Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle Man, we are involved with cricket, hockey, football, netball, fencing, basketball, squash, rugby, badminton, rowing, athletics, climbing, triathlon and golf.
What are you looking forward to most about the Games in July?
So much hard work has gone into organising the Games from the main committee and all of the Games makers through to the hundreds of volunteers who make each individual sport happen and the athletes who have trained for years to be ready and so to see that all come together will be amazing. It will be a huge celebration and we hope that Guernsey comes out in force to showcase what makes the Island Games special and to make Guernsey 2023 the best Games ever.
Are there any activities you are planning in the run up to the Games?
As a lead sponsor, many of our staff have volunteered as Games makers, we have staff competing and some of our sporting ambassadors are also representing Guernsey and Jersey so we will be highlighting all of that. We are also planning to host some events during the week as well.
Red Carnation
At The Duke of Richmond and The Old Government House Hotel & Spa, generous hospitality, exquisite dining and a warm welcome awaits.

What made you want to be a lead sponsor for the Guernsey 2023 Games?
Sandpiper has been investing in Guernsey for many years so we’re delighted to also invest in the 2023 Natwest International Island Games. Now that Covid issues and delays are behind us, we can all look forward to a great, home-soil, Island Games. We know the Bailiwick will all come together and step-up to host this brilliant sporting event. Sandpiper is proud to help support Guernsey and make this a hugely successful occasion.
What are you looking forward to most about the Games in July?
Sandpiper is looking forward to seeing Guernsey come alive once the hundreds of competitors and supporters start arriving. It’ll be brilliant to welcome so many island nations to our shores and be part of the camaraderie, friendship and spirit that the Island Games community will bring.

Our office in Guernsey was established over 35 years ago and throughout that time, we have been major supporters of sporting activity on the Island. We are proud of our long association with the Island Games and have also sponsored the popular Community Sports Funday for the last two years, in conjunction with the Guernsey Sports Commission.
What made you want to be a lead sponsor for the Guernsey 2023 Games?
At Utmost, we take great pride in actively participating in our local community through various means such as fundraising, volunteering and engaging in sports. Having sponsored the Guernsey Island Games Team for ten years, and recognising that sports are an essential aspect of life on the island, it seemed like a natural progression for us as a company to also sponsor these home games.
What are you looking forward to most about the Games in July?
There's so much to look forward to! We're thrilled about our Utmost employees taking part in events leading up to the games. Additionally, welcoming athletes from numerous islands worldwide will be truly special as they experience first-hand what makes our beautiful home – Guernsey – unique.
Are there any activities you are planning in the run up to the Games?
As the Team sponsor for Guernsey, Utmost has been raising awareness and showing support of our athletes through various initiatives. Social media posts, press releases as well as advertisements have helped spread news of these efforts. The Utmost office building is now decorated with images of some popular sportspeople and upcoming stars in a symbolic gesture recognising continuous association with the Island Games team.
We are looking forward to hosting an evening event where invited guests can meet up with the athletes and also a ‘Good Luck’ event, attended by the Lieutenant-Governor and Bailiff, which will include the long awaited ‘kit reveal’ and a photo session featuring the flag bearer and water bearer representing team spirit on behalf of all players competing at games.
Darcy the Donkey (official Team mascot!) is also travelling around the island schools, encouraging youngsters to join us while creating buzz within the community about our upcoming events.
Sure
What made you want to be a lead sponsor for the Guernsey 2023 Games?
We are passionate about local sports and how they connect the island community, and wanted to bring that connection to another level through upgrading the technology and connectivity in the 25 sporting venues for the Island Games.
What are you looking forward to most about the Games in July?
We’re looking forward to this being the most-connected Games ever, meaning that more people than ever can stay in touch with competitors and results. We’re also enabling live streaming and tracking of 13 sports, so people can follow the action live. We know how hard it can be to be away from friends and family, so we’re also donating SIM cards preloaded with data to help visiting athletes and officials keep in contact with their loved ones, and update them on how they’re doing in their sport!
Are there any activities you are planning in the run up to the Games?
Jet the Puffin will be in the Sure High Street shop on 19-20th May for fun and frolics! There will be games and competitions for people to win!
