Beau Sejour Leisure Centre is the island's premiere multipurpose facility hosting a range of indoor and outdoor sporting events.

During the island games, Beau Sejour will be host to most of the basketball competition, along with all of the swimming events. Venue details, maps and facility information can be found below.

Beau Sejour can be approached on Amherst from either direction. View detailed driving directions.

The entrance to the car park is immediately to the left on turning into the venue drive. The car park is ample and generally has available spaces.

Guernsey Buses regular services will be free during the games, making transport easier for islanders and visitors, starting the day before the games on Friday 7th July, and continuing until the end of the games on Friday 14th July.

Getting to Beau Sejour from Footes Lane

Walking from Footes Lane to Beau Sejour takes approximately 29 minutes (2.2km).

Turn right out of Footes Lane until you reach the traffic lights. Cross using the crossing and turn right onto Les Ozouets Road. Follow the road until you turn left at the filter onto Collings Road. Head straight through the traffic lights onto Fosse Andre and turn left onto Maurepas Road. Turn right when you reach Amherst school up Guelles Road and cross the road at the zebra crossing to enter Beau Sejour. 

Tip

For a quieter journey, try turning left along Skins Lane halfway along Les Ozouets Road, turn right at the yellow line along La Neuvre Road, left along St Cecelia and straight through across the zebra crossing into the water lanes before re-joining Fosse Andre and following the route as per the above instructions.

Getting to Beau Sejour from St Pierre Park

Walking from St Pierre Park Hotel to Beau Sejour takes approximately 25 minutes (1.9km).

Turn right out of St Pierre Park Hotel and follow the Rohais until you reach the filter at the top of the hill. Bare left onto Rocquettes road and follow La Gibauderie until you reach St Jacques/Elm Grove. Turn right onto Elm Grove and follow it along to the traffic lights where you turn left, and follow the road until Beau Sejour is on your right.

Basketball

The centre has one court with Taraflex competition flooring. A dedicated viewing gallery is made available for spectators during training and competition.

Swimming

The centre hosts swimming in a 25m, six lane pool, with spectators catered for in raked seating. In addition, there is a 10m warm-down facility.

The unisex changing village includes male and female toilets and showers.
