Footes Lane is situated off the main road of the Rohais. Turn into Footes Lane past the Guernsey Grammar School and Sixth Form Centre and Footes Lane track is on your right.

There is parking onsite Sunday 9 July-Thursday 13 July. The road can get busy at school pick-up times.

PLEASE NOTE

Due to the men's football final and closing ceremony, the road will be closed from 1pm until midnight. Footes Lane Car Parks will be closed all day. Details for pick-ups for the Guernsey Grammar School & Sixth Form Centre will be issued.

Guernsey Buses regular services will be free during the games, making transport easier for islanders and visitors, starting the day before the games on Friday 7th July, and continuing until the end of the games on Friday 14th July.

Taxi App

Although we do not have an Uber service in Guernsey, you can hail taxis on both Android and iPhone using the States of Guernsey new Taxi App which has been launched in time for the Games.

The app provides ad on-demand sevice. Pre-booking a taxi in advance will still need to be done by contacting taxi companies directly. The app will provide an estimated fare for the journey, however, the fare will be taken from the in-vehicle taxi meter and paid directly to the driver.

Beau Sejour to Footes Lane

Walking from Beau Sejour to Footes Lane takes approximately 29 minutes (2.2km).

Turn right out of Beau Sejour, crossing at the zebra crossing and follow Guelles Road until you reach Amherst school. Turn left along Maurepas Road and follow it along until you turn right along Fosse Andre. Continue straight through the traffic lights onto Collings Road and turn right at the filter onto Lez Ozouets Road. Follow it until you reach the traffic lights where you turn left and can cross using the crossing. Follow Footes Lane until you reach Footes Lane stadium on your left.

Tip

For a quieter journey, try turning right along Fosse Andre onto the water lanes. Cross straight across the zebra crossing and continue onto St Cecelia, before turning right onto La Neuvre Rue and left onto Skins Lane. Tun right onto Les Ozouets Road and follow the rest of the walk as per the above instructions from Les Ozouets Road.

St Pierre Park to Footes Lane

Walking from St Pierre Park Hotel to Footes Lane takes approximately 10 minutes (0.9km)

Turn left out of St Pierre Park Hotel and follow the road around right until you reach the traffic lights. Cross using the crossing onto Footes Lane and follow the road until Footes Lane stadium is on your right.

Hougue du Pommier (table tennis, indoor bowls, air shooting) to Footes Lane

Hougue du Pommier Sports centre (Table Tennis/Indoor Bowls) to Footes Lane takes approximately 29 minutes (2.3km).

Turn left out of Hougue Du Pommier sports centre, and follow the road around left along Route de la Charruée to the filter by Shiloh Church (take care - there are limited pavements). Turn left at the filter and right along Verte Rue. Turn right at the yellow line and follow Pont Vaillant until you reach the yellow line. Cross straight over into Footes Lane and turn right at the next yellow lone along Footes Lane and Footes Lane stadium will be on your right.

Tip

For a quieter walk, turn right out of Hougue du Pommier sports centre, and cross at the zebra crossing into Rue de Marais and turn right into Douit Lane. Turn right along Landes du Marché and left into Verte Rue and follow as per the instructions above. Going this way is 2.8km in total and will take approximately 35 minutes.

Footes Lane is situated off the main road of the Rohais. Turn into Footes Lane past the Guernsey Grammar School and Sixth Form Centre and Footes Lane track is on your right.

There is bicycle parking at Footes Lane which will be extended for the week of the Games.

Friday 14 July

Due to the men's football final and closing ceremony, the road will be closed from 1pm until midnight to cars, but bicycles will be permitted and there will be additional bike parking available.
